Micro moments of connection throughout the day can boost your wellbeing. Look for simple opportunities to connect, whether it’s chatting with your local barista or saying hello to a fellow dog walker. Even a smile or moment of shared presence can support connection.

Day 2 – Be grateful together
Let a friend or colleague know what you appreciate about them or reflect on a few key things in your life you’re grateful for today.
Day 3 – Move together
Moving your body can reduce stress, improve sleep, and lift your mood. Consider inviting someone for a walk or workout and enjoy the benefits together. Or move in your own way if you’re low on energy – it all counts.
Day 4 – Book time together
Think about organising a regular catch-up with a friend. Investing in small, consistent moments with a few people can make a meaningful difference.
Day 5 – Learn together
Learning new skills can boost confidence and build resilience. Try learning something new – like a skill or language – with a friend or group.
Day 6 – Work better together
Check in with a colleague beyond day-to-day work tasks – grab a coffee, take a walk, or share a lunch break together. Even a simple “how are you going?” can still create connection.
Day 7 – Together with family
Share a memory, express appreciation, or simply spend a quiet moment together and enjoy each other’s company.
Day 8 – Together in your neighbourhood
Feeling connected to where you live can increase your sense of belonging. Take time to smile, wave, say hello, or introduce yourself to a neighbour.
Day 9 – Get creative together
Consider joining a creative activity this month – like art, music, or dance, and connect through expression. Creative expression can also be a way to connect with yourself.

Spending time in nature can boost your mood and reduce stress. Visit a place you love – like the beach or bush – or join a free local group to help care for the environment and connect with others outdoors.
Day 13 – Digital together
Connecting online can help you feel part of a community. Join an online group or forum with shared interests or experiences and engage meaningfully with others. Online spaces can be a gentle starting point if in-person connection feels difficult.
Day 14 – Share stories together
Sharing stories can build empathy and understanding. Listen to someone from a different background or age group and learn from their unique experiences.

Journalling can reduce stress and help process difficult emotions. Learn more about journalling with a friend or explore it on your own using these tips from Lifeline Journaling your thoughts and feelings | Lifeline
Day 16 – Create belonging together
Organise a group activity or gathering – like a simple meal, games night, or outing. If hosting feels like too much, joining something small or informal can still foster connection.
Day 17 – Listen together
Taking time to truly listen can strengthen connection. Focus on understanding someone else’s perspective without interrupting or offering solutions. Remember, simply listening is enough – you don’t need to have the answers.
Day 18 – Be kind together
Offer a smile, a helping hand, or a kind word to someone today. Small acts of kindness – even towards yourself or a pet – can build a sense of connection.
Day 19 – Share a table together
Consider inviting someone for a cuppa, a picnic, or a simple meal and enjoy each other’s company – it doesn’t need to be fancy.
Day 20 – Laugh together
Share something funny with a friend or family – like a dad joke, a cat video or a silly moment, and enjoy a lift in spirits together.
Day 21 – Be present together
Be in the moment with someone else. Put your phone away, give someone your full attention, and spend time together, whether it’s chatting, cooking, playing a board game, or just sitting quietly.
Day 22 – Celebrate together
Celebrating wins – both big and small – is great for wellbeing and connection. Think about a moment you’re proud of or share it with someone.
Day 23 – Play together
Play can reduce stress and help us feel more relaxed and connected. Try a board game, puzzle, or fun activity and enjoy some light-hearted time with someone.

Learning about different cultures can build understanding and connection. Explore a new culture with a friend – attend a local event, try new food, or share what you discover.

Being part of your community supports a sense of belonging. Sign up for a local class, event, or group activity. Take it at your own pace – even observing or attending briefly can be a positive step.
Day 28 – Check in together
Take a moment to check in with yourself and someone else today. Ask someone how they’re really going and share how you’re feeling too. If these conversations feel difficult, that’s okay – go gently. Support is available if you’re concerned about yourself or someone else.
